HEOSC has various job opportunities for those passionate about working with children in an educational setting. If you are dedicated to making a positive impact on young minds, HEOSC would love to hear from you. Please see the requirements for each position below.

OSC Leaders are responsible for providing a safe and engaging environment for children aged 5-11 outside of school hours. Duties include but are not limited to: direct supervision of children, snack preparation and serving, program planning, and maintaining a clean environment. Leaders must:

  • Be a responsible adult 19+ years of age

  • Have a valid first aid certificate

  • Have 20+ hours of childcare-related training or education

  • Have relevant work experience

  • Have a clear criminal record check

Early Childhood Educator (ECE)

ECEs play a key role in providing exceptional care and education to children 30-months to school age. Duties include but are not limited to: working directly with children, program planning, developmental assessments, and other tasks not easily definable. ECEs must:

  • Be a responsible adult 19+ years of age

  • Have a valid first aid certificate

  • Have a valid ECE certification for working in BC

  • Have a clear criminal record check
